Q: What version of the book is the certification exam based on?

A: The exam is based on the following schedule:

A: A CSEP candidate is required to have experience in at least 3 of the 15 SE competency areas listed in the application form.

Q: Do I need training to take the CSEP certification exam?

A: There is no training requirement for taking the certification knowledge exam.

Q: Is the SEH the primary reference for the exam?

A: Yes, the SEH is the sole reference for the exam. All answers to exam questions can be found in the SEH.

Q: Are there multiple right answers on the exam?

A: No, both the hybrid and SEH5E exams will always have only one correct answer.

A: The exam costs $80 per attempt and can be taken online with a remote proctor at a time of your choosing.
